A lot has happened in the past few months. After the first of the year, I feel like I completely lost my way. Losing my husband of 45 years, back in October, ripped my heart out. I thought if I could make it through the holidays, things would be better. They weren’t.
Then I had a medical procedure in February. That took more out of me physically than I expected. Doing anything art related came to a screeching halt for about a month.
I am finally focused on my art. Although, I spend a lot of time just going through the motions. I am working on focusing more and have plans to improve my art.
The painting shown here is 12″ X 12″ and is done in oils. This is the first one in a series I have been working on of places we have vacationed. In October 22, one of the places we visited was Steamboat Rock State Park in Washington State.
The painting was finished December 14, 2024. It’s an okay painting, but Jim would have loved it. Of course, he loved all my landscape paintings. Even the awful ones.
